Lutheran Chaplaincy Service is a unique service agency providing comprehensive spiritual care services to institutions. Although its roots are Lutheran, LCS is an ecumenical organization that ministers in an interfaith context. There are currently 36 LCS chaplains representing 15 Christian denominations. Recognizing that a patient’s spirituality is a source of power that gives meaning, value, and purpose to life, our chaplains serve people in crisis regardless of their faith or religious affiliation, drawing on the spiritual resources and faith tradition of each individual whom we serve. Each day, LCS chaplains witness the miracle of re-connecting people to God in the midst of crisis.
Lutheran Chaplaincy Search Services
During 25 years of managing chaplains and designing spiritual care programs, LCS has placed more than 60 chaplains and interviewed hundreds more. Now, LCS is making that experience available to agencies and institutions around the country that need to hire a chaplain, but don’t have experience in doing so. As a provider with national scope and reach across many denominations, LCS is uniquely qualified to help you find the ideal fit for your organization.
Circle of Life
As a long time provider of spiritual care in institutions with people in crisis, LCS also saw a need to partner with congregations to promote spiritual care for people who seek to connect Jesus’ message of abundant life with the stresses we all face on a daily basis. LCS’ Circle of Life curriculum equips individuals and groups to manage stress, face change, and maintain greater peace and life balance by modeling a proactive process for achieving life and health goals. Contact us to find out how your congregation can implement this dynamic small group ministry that is both a means of caring for your own members and helping them maintain the energy and clarity they need to minister beyond the four walls of the church. Circle of Life is partially funded through a grant from Wheat Ridge Ministries.
