About Giving to Lutheran Chaplaincy Service

General Donations. Checks in any amount may be sent to Lutheran Chaplaincy Service, 2401 Superior Viaduct, Cleveland OH 44113-2342. (Thrivent Financial for Lutherans will match $1.00 for every $2.00 accumulated annual donations up to $600, with a maximum contribution of $300 when you own a Thrivent Financial product.)

Combined Federal Campaign. Federal Employees in Greater Cleveland may designate all or a portion of their annual contributions to Lutheran Chaplaincy Service. If you are a Federal employee, simply follow CFC instructions and designate your gift for #7021.

PLANNED  GIVING

Appreciated Stock. If you own stock that has appreciated over the years, you might consider donating it to Lutheran Chaplaincy service. Speak with your financial advisor about the tax advantages of this giving option.

Bequests. If you would like to include Lutheran Chaplaincy Service in your will, please give this wording to your attorney: I bequeath to Lutheran Chaplaincy Service, a nonprofit corporation formed under the laws of the state of Ohio,     % of my estate or $         , the income or principal, or both, to be used for the general purpose of Lutheran Chaplaincy Service.

Life Insurance. This simple alternative can assure Lutheran Chaplaincy Service of a substantial gift at your death through modest annual contributions. Call us for information or speak to your financial advisor or insurance professional.

Trusts, Annuities and Other Giving Options. If you have considerable assets, we will work with you and your financial advisor to find the most advantageous giving options for your situation.

Raising DoughLutheran Chaplaincy Service has collaborated with three other Lutheran agencies to form Raising Dough, a communication effort that encourages gift planning among Lutherans in the Greater Cleveland Area. With a generous grant from Thrivent Financial for Lutherans, LCS along with Lutheran Metropolitan Ministries, Lutheran Home at Concord Reserve and Cleveland Lutheran High School Assoc. is available to present seminars on planned giving to help educate and demystify gift planning concepts in a simple and easy-to-grasp manner.
